Students begin the program traveling together as a group, accompanied by adult chaperones and a Live N Learn Program Director. After exploring northern Spain for a week, they transition into a 10-night family homestay near Madrid.

Your Spanish adventure begins! Board your flight to Madrid. Get ready for incredible food, vibrant culture, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Arrive in Madrid and head straight to León, a cultural gem known for its art, architecture, and amazing cuisine. Visit the stunning 13th-century Gothic cathedral with its world-famous stained-glass windows. End the evening like a true Spaniard with a tapa hop around the city’s lively streets.
Travel to the majestic mountain town of Covadonga to see the breathtaking Lagos de Covadonga, sparkling blue lakes nestled high above the clouds. Continue on to Llanes, a charming fishing village by the sea, where you’ll settle in for the next two nights.
Paddle your way down the famous Sella River surrounded by the stunning peaks of the Picos de Europa. Soak in the fresh mountain air and picturesque views of the Asturian countryside. Later, enjoy free time in Llanes, stroll along the cliffs and take in sweeping views of the coast.
Journey through Cantabria, known as “Green Spain,” and stop in a few storybook villages along the way. Arrive in Bilbao, a vibrant city in Basque Country famous for its food scene, modern art, and unique local culture.
Spend the day in San Sebastián, one of Spain’s most beautiful seaside cities. Wander through its charming old town, sample world-class tapas, and relax on the golden beaches that make this coastal paradise unforgettable.
Hop on an e-bike for a fun tour along the river and through Bilbao’s historic old town. Then explore the world-renowned Guggenheim Museum, where modern art and cutting-edge architecture come together in one of Europe’s most iconic landmarks.
Travel to Segovia, a city straight out of a fairy tale. Stand beneath the massive Roman Aqueduct, built nearly 2,000 years ago, and explore the Alcázar Palace, said to have inspired Disney’s Cinderella Castle. Then begin your homestay adventure!
Experience life as a Spanish teen! Your host family will welcome you into their home and introduce you to daily life, traditions, and Spanish culture. You may even have the opportunity to live with the same student you hosted, a perfect chance to reconnect and experience their world firsthand. Midway through your stay, meet up as a group in Madrid to explore Retiro Park and enjoy a fun day rowing boats and relaxing in the sun.
